Generation failed or stuck
If a generation on Canvas fails, it doesn’t use your credits. Any credits held for it when it started are returned to your balance in full. This page covers Canvas.
How do I know a generation failed?
Section titled “How do I know a generation failed?”A red message appears under the node on Canvas. It shows the error, or Generation failed if there are no more details.
Do I lose credits when a generation fails?
Section titled “Do I lose credits when a generation fails?”No. A failed Canvas generation doesn’t cost credits. Before a run starts, Canvas may show a message like: “{cost} credits will be held when this runs and fully refunded if generation fails.” If credits were held, they’re returned to your balance when the generation fails. This is a credit refund, not a money refund (see Refunds).
What if a video is taking a long time?
Section titled “What if a video is taking a long time?”Canvas waits up to 30 minutes for a video. If it still hasn’t finished by then, the run stops and fails with a timeout message. Like any failed generation, it doesn’t cost credits.
Where can I check my credits?
Section titled “Where can I check my credits?”In Settings, open the Balance tab. It shows your credit balance and your recent credit transactions. See Where can I see my balance?
