Manage your plan

Upgrade, downgrade or cancel (unsubscribe from) your plan here. To cancel, go to How do I cancel my plan?.

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Plans page in JifChat, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops your next payment. It is not a refund, which is covered separately in Refunds.

  1. Open the Plans page: click your profile picture, then Upgrade or Manage under Current Plan. Or go to chat.jif.dev/pricing.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly.
  3. On the plan you want, click Upgrade or Downgrade. If you’re on the free plan, this opens Stripe Checkout. If you already have a paid plan, it opens the Stripe billing portal, where you make the change.

If you upgrade partway through a billing period, the price is prorated and Stripe charges you straight away. Your credit balance is then refilled to the upgraded plan’s monthly credits.

If you downgrade, the change takes effect from your next billing period. Your next payment is the lower plan’s price, and your credits are then refilled to the lower plan’s monthly credits. You aren’t refunded for the current period, and your current balance stays as it is until then.

  1. Sign in at chat.jif.dev.
  2. Click your profile picture. On a computer it’s at the bottom of the left sidebar. On a phone it’s in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Under Current Plan, click Upgrade or Manage (which one you see depends on your plan). Both open the Plans page. You can also go straight to chat.jif.dev/pricing.
  4. In the green Current Plan box at the top of the page, click Manage. The Stripe billing portal opens.
  5. In the billing portal, click Cancel subscription and confirm.

Back on the Plans page, the Current Plan box shows: “Your plan will expire at the end of the billing period.”

The Plans page says: “You’re in control: Cancel anytime before your next payment!” When you cancel, your plan is set to end at the end of the current billing period. Until then it stays active, so you keep your plan’s paid features, such as Seedance video. When the period ends, your account goes back to the free plan.

What What happens
Your plan Stays active, with its paid features, until the end of the current billing period. Then you’re back on the free plan.
Future payments You aren’t charged again after you cancel.
Plan credits you haven’t used They stay in your balance after your plan ends, but they aren’t topped up again.
Daily free credits The daily claim is only for free-plan accounts in their first 7 days after sign-up, so it doesn’t restart when a plan ends.

Cancelling and refunds are separate. Cancelling only stops future payments. For refunds, see Refunds.
